Monks

The following alternate class features are allowed. This is based on (and largely copied from Tenletter’s alternate monk features

Form of the Butterfly

A flighty, highly evasive style that aims to dodge enemy attacks but takes a high toll on the monk
Effect: When unarmored and unencumbered, the monk adds his basic reflex save bonus to his AC as a dodge bonus. Bonuses to reflex base save gained from other classes do not stack unless specified by that class. The monk gains a +1 bonus to his Reflex at 4th level and every fourth level thereafter (this bonus is not a base save bonus, so it is not added to the monk’s AC as a bonus). The monk takes a -1 penalty to fortitude and will saves for every 6 character levels. The monk loses the effects of this form when he is immobilized or helpless, when he wears any armor, when he carries a shield, or when he carries a medium or heavy load.

This replaces the monk bonus to AC and the ability to add the monk’s Wisdom modifier to AC.

Hand of Perfection

When obtaining this form, a monk choses to forgo additional attacks due to a high base attack bonus and cannot make use of two-weapon fighting feats – though other sources of additional attacks such as haste, cleave or Medusa’s wrath still apply. The monk gains no benefits when fighting with a weapon, but if he makes an unarmed strike his base attack bonus is equal to his monk level. For all other purposes, such as qualifying for a feat or a prestige class, the monk uses his normal base attack bonus. The monk gains a bonus to damage with his unarmed strikes equal to his monk level. At level 1 the monk’s unarmed strikes can freely change between slashing, bludgeoning or piercing damage, as he choses. At level 6, and every 3rd level thereafter, the monk’s unarmed strikes gain an additional quality chosen from this list, which allows the monk to bypass the appropriate DR: silver, cold-iron, adamantine, lawful, good, evil; this ability is in addition to the normal ki strike ability of the monk. When making use of abilities such as stunning fist, scorpion style and gorgon fist the monk gains a +1 bonus to the DC of these abilities for every 4 monk levels. Finally the monk’s threat range for unarmed strikes is 19 to 20.
Bonus Ki Pool ability: by spending 1 ki point the monk may a +2 bonus to every attack and maneuver he makes for one round, damage is increased by +1 for every 2 monk levels – additionally, when making use of abilities such as stunning fist, scorpion style and gorgon fist the monk gains a +2 bonus to the DC of these abilities.

This feature replaces Flurry of Blows.

Blurred Fist

When making use of the charge action the monk takes no penalty to AC and instead gains a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls this round (over and above the benefits usually granted by a charge). The monk can attempt a DC 15 + opponent’s BAB Stealth check. If he succeeds, he does not provoke movement-based attacks of opportunity for one round. If the check exceeds the DC by 5 or more the target is flat-footed to the monk’s charge attack. Finally, if the check exceeds the DC by 10 or more the monk additionally gains concealment for one round. The monk may use this ability a number of times a day equal to his monk level.
